ADPC · BANGLADESH & SRI LANKA

Climate intelligence that reaches the farmer.

A regional resilience program translated data into timely advice across different levels of digital access.

8,200+FARMERS REACHED
30%REPORTED YIELD INCREASE
23%REPORTED CROP LOSS REDUCTION
01 / CONTEXT

The challenge

Smallholder farmers in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka faced rising exposure to extreme weather and crop loss. ADPC needed a way to deliver actionable, local advice that also worked for farmers without smartphones.

02 / INTELLIGENCE

The Cropin approach

Cropin digitized farms through Cropin Grow and connected farm records with predictive intelligence. Advisories were distributed through smartphone experiences, SMS and community whiteboards so that different farmer groups could act on weather and crop signals.

03 / OUTCOME

What changed

Cropin’s published pilot reports 8,200+ farmers reached, 90% adoption, a 30% yield increase, a 23% reduction in crop loss and 92% farmer satisfaction. These are reported program results, not a general performance guarantee.
